Looking at the border with annual flowers I thought what good value you can have from 1 packet of seeds. These Nigella flowers have appeared after the the sowing and flowering of plants last year. I have a great mixture of shades and colours.
I guess I should mark these and then collect the seeds for next year… or should I just let nature take its course again and see what happens?
Can’t quite believe that these are going to ripen but we have lots of green tomatoes on the plants…
Keep fingers crossed… plus must remember to water regularly and use the liquid tomato feed! Also next year must remember to use taller bamboo canes and tie better supports around the outside of the plants.
Special evening this evening, picked and ate our first beetroot! Took a photo to mark the special event. Beetroot was very tasty, roasted with other veg (not home grown sadly).
What a fantastic thing liquid seaweed feed is… I had neglected the bamboo in the tub at the front and realized to my shame that it looked rather peaky. Leaves starting to curl in and soil dry. So 1 small cap full of liquid seaweed in a can of water and it really perked up quickly. Phew!
